Soooo... what have I been working on all semester at school? Well a couple of series that is. And now that those series are coming to completion I can start posting them.
This is from a series of fantasy portraits done for my interpretive illustration class. Basically I used people in my class as models and turned them into fairies - fairies that embody the seasons. This one is actually a self portrait. I wanted to make winter look rather, ahem... mean - and well, I know how to make myself looking mean, so yeah, self portrait. Even though I used myself as a model, I'm not actually blonde in real life. I used a Mother of Pearl butterfly as reference for the fairy wings in this one.
