Hee hee! So I managed to throw together another entry for the Anime North Design Contest while I was visiting Jess. Originally I was planning to colour the linework digitally, but then I remembered that I left the power cord for my laptop at home and Jess needed her laptop for some important work. Soooo, yay for friends who have gouache, brushes and coloured pencils lying around! I coloured most of it traditionally and then added a very simple background in photoshop.
Yeah, so this is the Anime North mascot dressed as a Heian court lady. Media: Black technical pen, brown technical pen, gouache, coloured pencil and photoshop. EDIT: Just added a spiffy new background in photoshop. Prints of this piece are up for sale in my Etsy shop: [link] |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
