Artist's Comments

This piece is a tribute to Saint Cecilia; the patroness of sacred music. I drew it as a commission for The Sacred Music Society. It is meant to be used as an all purpose greeting card. There are something like eight celtic knots in this drawing. And for those of you who may not have seen such things before, the writing/symbols in the background is the way that music used to be written in the Medieval era. To give you an idea of just how much detail I put into it, the original piece is only about 9" X 6".

Media: Technical pen, acrylic ink and watercolour

I'm sorry, but I have now left DeviantArt. You can still see what's on my profile page if you'd like.

I swear, I might as well fave your entire gallery. I love this piece, especially as one who sings and dearly loves Medieval music. The knots are awesome, and so is the music in the background!

Beautiful work! I love the colours, it's so vibrant! I think it would look so great as a poster, or something big so that we could all drool over the amount of detail that you put into this.

What do you expect ME to do about hordes of killer radioactive alien vampires? Use harsh language?

Hmmm... we actually seem to have a lot in common, the main difference being that you can draw really well and I can't. Ah well... it's nice to know there's a fellow nut out there!

YAY FOR THE NUTS! I'm sure your art will improve with time and practice. The only reason I can draw the way I do is because I draw constantly. I draw while I'm at work, while I'm tavelling, while I'm at school - heck I'm studying art! I draw everywhere and always, so I get tons and tons of practice. Don't forget, it also took years for me to get to level I'm at. It takes time for everyone to develop their gifts. If you're patient and diligent, I'm sure you'll blossom.
